LOCAL BUS SERVICE
First buses run regular services between Wells and Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare, Shepton Mallet and Glastonbury.

National Express long distance coach offers a regular service.
Car
The main roads are the A39 which connects the city to the M5 motorway to the west and continues through to Bath and M4 in the north; and the A371 connects Wells to Weston-Super-Mare in the west to Wincanton and A303 in the south.
There are a number of car parks in the city – check the Parkopedia website – and also three petrol stations in the city. You can also check for any electric car charging points in Wells.

National Coach
National Express is a long distance coach service and is ideal if coming from further afield as they are fast and only stop at a few places on the way. The NX403 service connects between Central London (London Victoria Coach Station) via Heathrow Airport (Terminals 1,2 & 3) and a few other stops to Wells. Please check their website for details – the journey from London can take approximately 4 hours.
Train
Whilst there are no direct train services to Wells there are several choices of station in nearby cities and towns with connecting bus services to Wells. From Bristol Temple Meads railway station catch the 376 bus service direct to Wells and from Bath Spa railway station catch the 173 bus service direct to Wells. There are also buses from Frome and Castle Cary railway stations. Check the Trainline and First websites for up to date travel details.
